The Tallest Man Who Ever Lived
When it comes to tall tales, Robert Wadlow takes the cake – and the ceiling fan. This Illinois native was the tallest man in recorded history, standing at a whopping 8.11 feet tall. That’s over a foot taller than Shaquille O’Neal! But Wadlow’s height came at a price – he suffered from various health problems throughout his life, and had to wear braces on his legs to support his enormous frame.
But don’t worry, folks – Wadlow had a good sense of humor about his size. In fact, he once joked that he “never got lost in a crowd,” and that he could “reach things on the top shelf.” I wish I could say the same for myself! I’m not sure if that helps, but the next time you’re feeling short, just remember – there was a man who could have used your head as an armrest.
