The “food coma” is an infamous phrase. We often use it to describe feeling sleepy after gorging on way too much food. How is someone expected to have energy after eating their weight in turkey and pumpkin pie? Falling asleep on your mom’s couch immediately after eating is completely acceptable. 

Hari Kondabolu openly acknowledges his love of food in this tweet. He advises the internet to tell his family he died doing what he loved if he never wakes up from his Thanksgiving-induced food coma.
