#5: Canned Produce
Canned fruits and vegetables offer a convenient, budget-friendly alternative in places where fresh produce is scarce or costly. However, research indicates a nutritional compromise, citing added sugars and salts for preservation as significant drawbacks.

The addition of unhealthy preservatives, including bisphenol A (BPA), in canned foods does little to favor diabetics, potentially exacerbating the risk of developing type 2 diabetes due to these harmful substances.
