Ghost Stories
“Visiting my mother’s family as a kid, they used to live on a farm. The best way to get back from there was to catch 3:30am train from the village station which was about 3-4kms away from the farm. They didn’t own a car back then, had to walk all the way with the luggage. My uncle and aunt decided to come with us to the station as it was winters, a little foggy and dark. The ladies were walking in the front with unc and I walking about 15ft behind with all the luggage. Walking through a narrow unpaved road with fields all around. As we are walking I see two ladies walking up to my mom and others from a field to the left …
… I didn’t think much of it as I thought people get up early in villages, must be someone known going to the station as well. After about 5 minutes or so, the ladies parted ways towards the fields on the left side. After reaching the station I asked my mom about the ladies and she said, what ladies? I said the two who were walking beside you. I explained in detail about the clothes they were wearing, as I didn’t see their faces. My uncle rubbished the whole thing. They thought I was trying to prank them. So, I let it go. My mom called uncle after reaching and he told her that they are still at the railway station, waiting for the sun to come up. He saw them too and he knew who they were. He didn’t want me to get scared that’s why didn’t say anything then. Uncle told mother those women had died a few years ago, they committed suicide.”
